Bachelor's in Global Animation

The Bachelor's Degree in Global Animation offers comprehensive training in the areas of Audiovisuals and Media Production, with a special focus on 2D and 3D animation techniques and other global approaches to visual expression. 

This degree emphasises the Fine Arts, integrating subjects that deal with drawing and illustration, character development, sets and digital painting. 

The syllabus is structured in such a way as to have a balanced combination of theory and practice and with a methodology that aims to meet the needs of students throughout their academic experience, promoting a gradual and structured evolution of knowledge. 

At the end of the Bachelor of Arts in Global Animation, students will be able to develop a critical, comprehensive and organised vision of the various areas that make up the field of animation and thus build a national and international career, since it is taught in English.

Additionally, all students also receive, during their 3-year degree, the Adobe Pack.

Coordinator

Cynthia Levitan

Professor at IADE - Universidade Europeia and researcher. She holds a PhD in Design from FBAUP - Universidade do Porto and stands out as a director and sculptor in the field of animated cinema. Her research covers the reflexive analysis of image, simulacrum and representation, as well as the development of characters and the understanding of the complex constructive processes involved in Stop Motion animation.

The course trains students for effective entry into the job market, while also giving them the chance to continue their studies in related areas such as Digital Design, Visual Communication and other aspects of animation.
