Former Architect with a Bachelor’s degree from ISCTE, Edgar André Jesus is a Senior Game Designer at Bildundtonfabrik (btf), an award-winning German studio currently working on Constance. With almost a decade of experience in the game development industry, he’s worked on the PC, console, and mobile markets, developing both consumer products and B2B solutions. Some of the studios he’s worked at include Nectar Interactive, Ground Control, Massive Galaxy, and Forgotten Empires, where he worked as a Level Designer on Age of Empires IV. In addition to his professional work, Edgar has been an active member of the Portuguese game development community since 2015, administering online communities and organizing physical events such as the Global Game Jam, Game Dev Student Showcase, Games for Good, Game Dev Meet, to name a few. He also frequently assists independent developers in several capacities, including design consultation, playtesting, portfolio reviews, and business development mentorship. Has had the pleasure of being invited to be a speaker, jury member, and master class instructor at several institutions, including ETIC, ESACT, IADE, ISCTE and others.
