Universidade Europeia and IADE unveil new state-of-the-art campus

Universidade Europeia and IADE - Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication of the European University reveal what the institutions' new campus will look like, which will open its doors in September 2025. IADE is preparing to move to the Oriente Green Campus and the European University to expand its capacity to this new space located in Moscavide, next to Parque das Nações. With state-of-the-art infrastructures, the Oriente Green Campus represents a new era in the history of institutions.

For the first time and in an exclusive way, Universidade Europeia and IADE are showing what will be the new campus through a virtual tour, which shows the unique specificities of this space and which can be seen here.

Located next to Moscavide metro station, the new 17,000m2 campus has interactive classrooms equipped with the latest technologies applied to education, new auditoriums, a multifunctional library, leisure spaces and state-of-the-art laboratories. Among the main new features is the Media Lab, made up of several studios, including one dedicated to analog, as well as sound, radio, video and photography studios, in order to provide fully experiential learning. It also includes a Print Lab, a 3D Lab, a Tech Lab, a multifunctional library, collaborative spaces and leisure areas, providing an immersive and inspiring learning environment.  

The Oriente Green Campus is part of Europa Education's expansion plan in Portugal and is the result of the Group's commitment to academic excellence and its students. New facilities are incorporated which, together with the existing ones, will strengthen the presence of Europa Education's institutions in Lisbon and facilitate the full implementation of the academic model that characterizes this educational group.

This new Campus will also integrate the Executive Training programs and all the study cycles in the Management area of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Europeia.

INNOVATION IN EDUCATIONAL PROVISION

To accompany the opening of the Oriente Green Campus, IADE is launching a new degree in Global Animation, taught entirely in English. This course, aimed at students interested in careers in animation, visual arts and design, as well as creative professionals wishing to expand their skills, covers the areas of audiovisuals and media production, with special emphasis on 2D, 3D and stop-motion animation techniques, as well as contemporary methodologies of visual expression.

The master's degrees in Design for Sustainability, Branding and Strategy and Game Design and Production are also new additions to IADE's curricular offer, with applications starting in September 2025.

The first open day of 2025, dedicated to sharing information about degrees with potential students, will be held at the Santos Campus on February 1, starting at 10:00 am. During this event, the courses presented will already be those that will be taught at the Oriente Green Campus from September 2025. Registration for the open day can be done here.
